Behind the Brew

KICK Milk Tea & Coffee is a brainchild of Dhon Jason and Maricor de Belen. The couple first encountered milk tea during their trips to Shanghai, Taiwan, and other Asian countries—and it was love at first sip. With a dream to “Do What They Love,” they introduced it to Daet, Philippines in 2013.

KICK became the first milk tea & coffee shop in Camarines Norte, offering both tea and coffee-based beverages. Each drink is handcrafted with passion using carefully selected ingredients from Taiwan and the USA.

It quickly became a favorite “third space” for students, professionals, and families seeking a cozy retreat. Today, KICK continues to serve affordable yet premium beverages and snacks loved by the local community.

Our Journey

2013

KICK was founded in Daet, Camarines Norte as the province’s first milk tea and coffee shop—quickly becoming a favorite among students.

2016

KICK’s popularity soared with new frappes, coffee-based drinks, and an expanded menu loved by locals.

2019

New food favorites like Belgian waffles, Spam burgers, and nachos joined the menu—cementing KICK’s reputation for variety and quality.

2020

During the pandemic, KICK adapted through takeouts and deliveries. The shop expanded into a two-story café at its original site.

2021

The Taro Halo drink gained fame as a summer favorite—still one of KICK’s most iconic drinks today.
